The Verse Code
What do the letters and numbers on TRŪ Wear designs mean?
Every TRŪ Wear design carries a verse code — a shorthand reference to a specific scripture. The letters stand for the book of the Bible, and the numbers that follow are the chapter and verse. For example, J83132 points to John 8:31–32.
See a code? Look it up. The Word is the point.
How do I decode a verse code?
The format is: [Book abbreviation][Chapter][Verse(s)]. Here's a quick key for some of our current designs:
- J83132 — John 8:31–32
- 2T478 — 2 Timothy 4:7–8
- 1C1613 — 1 Corinthians 16:13
- 2CH157 — 2 Chronicles 15:7
- P413 — Philippians 4:13
- 2C517 — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Why put a code on the shirt instead of just printing the verse?
Because a code invites a question. When someone sees J83132 on your shirt and asks what it means, that's the conversation. You get to explain it. The verse does the rest. And that's the whole point — it's not decoration. It's a door opener.
Can I share the verse with someone who asks about the code?
That's exactly what it's designed for. When someone asks about your shirt, just tell them the verse reference. They may look it up themselves, or it might give you the opportunity to pull it up on your phone and share it with them right there. Wear it. Live it. Let the Word speak.
Sizing & Fit
How do TRŪ Wear tees fit?
Our tees are made from 100% heirloom combed ring-spun cotton (heather colors are a cotton/poly blend), and are cut with a classic fit — not boxy, not slim. They sit comfortably on the shoulders with enough room through the chest and arms for everyday wear, layering, or the gym. If you're between sizes, size up.
Do the hoodies and long sleeve tees fit the same way?
Hoodies and long sleeve tees follow the same classic fit standard. Hoodies have a standard cut with a standard-length body — true to size. If you're in between sizes or want extra room for layering, go up a size.
Is there a size guide?
Yes — each product page includes a size guide with measurements. Check it before you order if you're unsure. If you're still not sure, email us at gear@tru-wear.com and we'll help you figure it out.
Materials & Print Quality
What are the shirts made from?
Our solid color tees are 100% heirloom combed ring-spun cotton (heather colors are cotton/poly blend) — which means softer fabric, cleaner print surface, and a shirt that holds its shape wash after wash.
Will the print crack or fade over time?
Our designs are printed using high-quality direct-to-garment (DTG) printing built for durability. To get the most out of your shirt: wash inside out in cold water and tumble dry on low. Avoid high heat — it's the fastest way to break down any print. Treated right, your shirt will hold up.
Are TRŪ Wear products made in the USA?
Our apparel is printed and fulfilled through our production partner. Each piece is made to order, which means less waste and a product that's built specifically for you. Questions about sourcing? Email us at help@tru-wear.com.
Orders & Shipping
How long will it take to receive my order?
Because our products are made to order, here's the timeline to expect:
- Production time: 2–3 business days
- Standard shipping (US): 4–7 business days after production
- Total estimated delivery: 6–10 business days from order date
You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships.
How much does shipping cost?
Flat rate shipping starts at $4.75 on tees (up to 3), and $8.49 for hoodies on all domestic orders. Free shipping on orders $75 and over. We keep it simple.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet — we're currently shipping within the United States only. International shipping is on the roadmap. Stay tuned.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll get a tracking email with a link to follow your package. If you don't see it, check your spam folder first — then email us at gear@tru-wear.com with your order number and we'll track it down for you.
Can I change or cancel my order after it's placed?
Because our products go into production quickly (usually within 24 hours or less), we have a short window to make changes. Contact us at gear@tru-wear.com as soon as possible with your order number. We'll do our best, but we can't guarantee changes or cancellations once production has started.
Returns & Exchanges
What's your return policy?
We stand behind what we sell. If something isn't right, contact us within 30 days of delivery at bill@tru-wear.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We'll take care of it. Returns are accepted for items that are unworn, unwashed, and in original condition.
What if my order arrives damaged or with a print defect?
That's on us. Send us a photo of the issue at bill@tru-wear.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll send you a replacement or issue a full refund. No questions, no runaround.
Who pays for return shipping?
If the return is due to a defect or our error, we cover the shipping. For all other returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
